how are you?
you may be physically and mentally sound, but what about your spirit, can the same be said of that too?
How are you?
The event of the last few days in relation to Michael’s death had me thinking about life. We frequently ask the question “how are you” without thoroughly understanding the context of the question; when asked how you are, it’s almost certain the answer will be “I’m good or I’m fine” but the question is; are you? Let’s assume you are!!! How about your relationship with your Maker, how about your day-to-day life, is it in tune with your Creator?
If Jehovah decided to call you at this moment and asked you the same question how will your response be? Brethren how do you portray yourself among your peers, do they see the amour of God on you, are you a defender of the faith, are you Holy Ghost filled? If the answer to any of these questions aren’t good or fine then beloved, what you require is self assessment, I suggest you start with your heart, for the imagination of your heart, determines your train of thoughts or your perception which, eventually shapes you as a person.
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why your supplications to God aren’t always met? God knows your heart and your motives, Psalm 51:10 says and create in me a clean heart O’ God and renew a right spirit within me. Beloved having a clean heart and a renewal of spirit keeps us in harmony with God, so coming back to the question how are you, how is your spiritual being, is your heart clean and ultimately is your spirit renewed?
Precious soul, only you know the answer to that, if God called you today and asked how are you, what will your response be?
Beloved you need to understand the purpose of Christ’s death was so we might have life and have it abundantly John 10:10
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through Him John 14:6
Precious one, if you accept that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Roman 3:23 then salvation is the only way you can be reunited with your maker.
So say this prayer with me:
Lord Jesus, I recognise that I am a sinner, I realise that you sent your only begotten son Jesus to die because of your love for me, dear Lord I invite you this day into my life, be a master of my life and a captain of my heart; take absolute control of my being and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, I thank You Lord for inviting me into Your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus I pray Amen.
